2009 5-STATE CONVENTION MIXES WORK & PLAY
If you only attend one industry event this year here's the one!
The 5-State Mid-Atlantic Convention will be held at Bally's Atlantic City Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday October 22. Hosting the event is the New Jersey Housing Association. The event theme, It's a Shore Thing! recognizes the beautiful ocean-side location. The NJMHA Convention Committee has put together an extensive program that includes topics and speakers that will give you the information you need to survive these challenging economic times. MHI's 2008 Industry Person of the Year, George Allen shares his optimistic and successful strategies as the Opening Speaker. Former Disney Customer Service Expert Dennis Snow will deliver a powerful message on customer service in his Keynote Address. The insight you gain from these featured speakers is certain to inspire and empower you!
A wealth of pertinent and timely information will be covered in a range of Educational Sessions: “Waves of the Future” – industry demographics projections by Jenny Hodge; “Navigating Choppy Economic Seas Successfully” – strategies for preserving wealth by Brian C. Greenberg, CPA; “Preventing Pirates from Scuttling Your Treasures” – how to protect your community from consumer fraud by Christopher J. Hanlon Esq.; “Running a Tight Ship” – community management tactics by George Allen; “Be a Life Preserver” – Alfred Lincks; and “Selling in the Shifting Sands of a New Paradigm” – a panel discussion by representatives of multi-state land lease community businesses.
After so much useful information attendees can easily take time for fun and relaxation just steps away!
You could be nestled on a comfy Adirondack chair looking at the ocean with your toes in the sand. No matter what the weather you'll stay dry; this is one of the features of the fabulous Caesar's Pier. If shopping ‘til you drop is your preference visit the enticing Pier Shops – over 90 stores and 9 restaurants on 4 floors. Bargain hunters can browse the Atlantic City Outlets.
Of course every type of gaming is available in numerous venues you can walk to. No need to climb back into your car. The beach, casinos, shopping, and an array of restaurants are right nearby.

Testimonials on how the "Association" serves it's members:
Every time I have an issue come up within the state that is beyond my limits instead of getting a lot of people involved I call First State and they have been very helpful in resolving or finding out who I should call for a resolution.
First State Manufactured Housing has been the back bone of our industry. I have always been well updated and informed of law changes, legislature, conventions, meetings, etc.
