First State Manufactured Housing Association is pleased to announce four recipients of the Manufactured Housing Scholarship Award for 2019-2020. The $4,000 award will be shared between the following four deserving recipients.
Maria Myer, a 2019 graduate of Dover High School, will be attending Susquehanna University in the fall majoring in History with a Museum Studies minor. Maria took honors and AP classes throughout her four years while also participating in the choir and playing the flute in the Marching Band and Wind Ensemble. When not at school or working at her part-time job, Maria enjoys reading, watching TV and spending time with friends. Maria resides in a manufactured home in West Dover.
Justin Bazemore, a 2019 honors graduate of Delaware School of the Deaf will attend Delaware Technical Community College in the fall majoring in Transportation Studies and Food Science Management. Justin resides in the Lakeland Manufactured Home Community in Dover, DE.
Diana Ramirez, a 2018 graduate from Delaware Technical Community College. Has successfully transferred to the University of Delaware and will begin her senior year this fall. majoring in Human Services with plans of becoming a Family Support Specialist once she graduates. Diana is a PTK (Phi Theta Kappa) Honor Society member and an active member of her community. Diana enjoys spending time with family while home as well as volunteering. She resides in a manufactured home in County Seat Gardens Mobile Home Park in Georgetown, DE.
Brandon Bazemore is a second year Architectural Engineering Honors Student at Delaware Technical Community College. Brandon plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He resides in the Lakeland Manufactured Home Community in Dover, DE.
First State Manufactured Housing Association has provided $49,000.00 for 47 scholarships recipients since 1999.
